Products include metallurgical manganese ore, manganese carbonate powder, chemical manganese dioxide powder and batteries with manganese dioxide powder used. Metallurgical sector using manganese products, light industry sector and the chemical sector according to different uses for manganese products have different quality requirements.
(1) metallurgical industry quality requirements for manganese ore
Used in steelmaking pig iron, manganese pig iron, iron ore mirror, iron content is not restricted, manganese and iron ore in the total content of preferably 40% to 50%.
In the smelting various grades of manganese alloys, manganese content of the ore and ferromanganese ratios have certain requirements. Smelting, low-carbon ferromanganese, manganese ore 36% to 40%, ferromanganese than 6 to 8.5, phosphorus manganese than 0.002 to 0.0036; carbon ferromanganese smelting ore manganese content of 33% to 40%, ferromanganese more than 3.8 to 7.8, phosphorus manganese than 0.002 to 0.005; smelting silicon manganese alloys, manganese ore 29% ~ 35%, ferromanganese than 3.3 to 7.5, phosphorus manganese than 0.0016 ~ 0.0048; blast furnace ferromanganese, manganese ore 30 %, manganese less than 2 to 7, phosphorus 0.005 Mn ratio.
(2) chemical and light industry department of the manganese ore quality requirements
Chemical industry mainly used for preparation of manganese ore, manganese dioxide, manganese sulfate, potassium permanganate, followed for the preparation of carbonate, manganese nitrate, manganese chloride and manganese. Required chemical grade manganese dioxide MnO2 powder content of more than 50% (Table 3.3.3), the system is manganese sulfate, Fe ≤ 3%, Al2O3 ≤ 3%, CaO ≤ 0.5%, MgO ≤ 0.1%; manufacturing potassium permanganate , Fe ≤ 5%, SiO2 ≤ 5%, Al2O3 ≤ 4%.
Natural manganese dioxide raw material for the manufacture batteries, MnO2 content requires the higher the better. Of Ni, Cu, CO, Pb and other harmful elements generally factory set criteria: Cu <0.01%, Ni <0.03%, Co <0.02%, Pb <0.02%. Ore particle size is less than 0.12mm.
