White Peony Tea Extract is made with Certified Organic White Peony Tea which is obtained from the leaves of the evergreen shrub, Camellia sinensis. Camellia sinensis has anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, and astringent qualities. The basic difference between Green and White tea is in harvesting and processing.
More buds than leaves are harvested to make White Tea, and the harvesting conditions are quite specific and controlled. The constituents found in white tea are similar to those found in Green Tea, but some research indicates White Tea has even higher levels and different proportions of the beneficial class of phytochemicals–polyphenols. White Tea Extract is excellent for both skin and hair care.
White peony root grows in China. It is dug in summer or autumn and washed clean. The lateral roots and skin are removed and then it is briefly boiled and dried in the sun, sliced and used unprepared, stir- baked or stir-baked with wine.
